I first met Cara when I was looking for earrings for my young daughter, who was (and still is) super particular. Cara listened to what we wanted and, within hours, my daughter had earrings that she loved. Since that first purchase, Cara is my “go to” for jewelry. She is so talented. It never goes out of style. It makes my heart happy. I am actually touching a diamond heart necklace Cara designed right now. I love every single piece Cara has designed for me—and what I love even more is that some proceeds of all my purchases are given back to charity. It is a wonderful feeling to buy jewelry and know you are contributing to a worthwhile cause at the same time. A couple of years ago a mom from my son’s bunk at camp was gutted to learn her younger son was afflicted with juvenile diabetes. A bunch of moms from the bunk were at a loss as to what to do to help. Thankfully, money was not an issue for the family and they had all the resources they needed for medical care. I immediately called Cara. The “bunk moms” wanted to do something special. Together we worked with Cara to design a bracelet to gift our friend. That bracelet had a powerful and meaningful message of support that we knew would resonate. Knowing the whole story, Cara went above and beyond to finish the piece in time for us to gift it to our friend while she was visiting New York. Even more special, Cara donated proceeds from the bracelet to the juvenile diabetes foundation. Our friend has not taken that bracelet off since the day she received it. Every time I speak to her, she tells me it is a source of strength. It just does not get any better than that. Best feeling ever!
